Yahya Afridi

Yahya Afridi was appointed as the Chief Justice of Pakistan on 26 October 2024 by the President Asif Ali Zardari. He took oath as the 30th Chief Justice of Pakistan at a ceremony in Aiwan-e-Sadr. He is set to remain the Chief Justice until October 2027.

He is also the first chief justice to be appointed under the articles of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan, being nominated by a Special Parliamentary Committee on 22 October 2024.
