Family Registration Certificate (FRC)

FRC is a document of family tree of the applicant. It can have different lists of family members depending on type of application.

Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is a document that lists members of a family of the applicant and verifies their identities against NADRA records. FRC is only a helpful document to facilitate different processes but cannot be used for any legal requirement.

Who can apply for the FRC

You can apply for FRC if you:

  • are 18 years or above
  • have a valid identity card (NIC/CNIC/POC/NICOP)

You will need to provide following documents with your application:

Types of FRC

You can apply for FRC in one of the following three categories:

Birth

NADRA FRC by birth

The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant parents and siblings.

Marriage

NADRA FRC by marriage

The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant spouse and children.

Adoption

NADRA FRC by adoption

The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant legal guardian.

How to apply

There are two ways to apply for FRC.

Apply in-person

You can apply for FRC by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC). When applying for FRC by marriage, any children under the age of 18 must be present at the time of application.

What happens after you apply

  • If you are applying in-person at an NRC then you can collect the FRC from the center.
  • If you are applying online at NADRA Pak Identity website then you will get a PDF copy in provided email address within 24 hours.
