Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
FRC is a document of family tree of the applicant. It can have different lists of family members depending on type of application.
Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is a document that lists members of a family of the applicant and verifies their identities against NADRA records. FRC is only a helpful document to facilitate different processes but cannot be used for any legal requirement.
Who can apply for the FRC ¶
You can apply for FRC if you:
- are 18 years or above
- have a valid identity card (NIC/CNIC/POC/NICOP)

You will need to provide following documents with your application:
- a valid identity card (NIC/CNIC/POC/NICOP)
Types of FRC ¶
You can apply for FRC in one of the following three categories:
Birth ¶
The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant parents and siblings.
Marriage ¶
The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant spouse and children.
Adoption ¶
The certificate will list applicant family including the details of applicant legal guardian.
How to apply ¶
There are two ways to apply for FRC.
Apply in-person ¶
You can apply for FRC by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC). When applying for FRC by marriage, any children under the age of 18 must be present at the time of application.
Apply online ¶

What happens after you apply ¶
- If you are applying in-person at an NRC then you can collect the FRC from the center.
- If you are applying online at NADRA Pak Identity website then you will get a PDF copy in provided email address within 24 hours.
