After a successful and thrilling mapping event at FAST-NU, Lahore last year, now is the time for a series of mapping events to engage more users from Pakistan. Google’s Lahore mapping party was held on 3rd January 2010 at FAST-NU Lahore campus. The event provided a detailed introduction, usability aspects of Google Map Maker along with celebrating the achievements in developing the map of Pakistan from a blank space to what we use today. Google Map Maker was launched in June 2008 and since then users from Pakistan and diaspora made number of valuable contributions and change the blank map of Pakistan at Google Maps to what we are able to see and use today.
